Moulin Rouge

I saw the film today for the first time and it was not what I had expected at all. I was surprised by the number of 'modern' songs were in the flick, but there were times when they had the cast speaking the lines from songs and it was like they were on some kind of piss-take, which kinda spoiled the moment. It was good though, if not a little sickly with the whole love story. Was a surprise to see whatshisname MacGregor in a singing role though, I still think of him as the drainpipe wearing druggie in trainspotting....

Other than that, not much else to report from the day. Weather was nice again - it's summer at last - woohoo!!
