Weird stuff in Oz - Part 1
These are some of my observations about the weird stuff which goes on here:
- When you get a sandwich, say something like chicken salad, the aussies idea of salad includes: cheese, carrot and avocado. I'm not sure what's weirder, cheese or avocado. Carrot, I guess that makes some sense. But I do know that avocado is the food of the devil on a particularly bad day. Yuck.
- Loads of people when they're leaving work have their trainers on. It's like Working Girl, but without the shoulder pads and without the 1980's. And often it's the boys as much as the girls.
- There was this letter in the local paper, and no word of a lie, it was a guy writing in to say; could the person who found his lost lamb please return it. And so far as I can gather, he actually meant a lamb, he wasn't just coining a christian phrase.
Surely it's not just me?
